Good luck finding people who are 2 of these, and it is not possible to judge people with existing limited interview processes. This list is impossible.

Trusting Bing, Yandex and Baidu for politically sensitive topics? Are you being sarcastic?

Chrome forked webkit 5 years ago, it is now called blink and they are already quite different architecturally.

A browser has many other parts than rendering engine. So it is not fair to say Chrome is derived from webkit or safari. You can say chrome rendering engine was initially based on webkit which was based on khtml. And today that shared parts

Sure they allstand on the shoulders of giants, however you are mixing technologies a little bit. A browser is a lot more than an html engine, there is almost nothing left from khtml in either Chrone or Safari.

You imply they do this deliberately, do you have any evidence? It sounds super unlikely to me.

To me biggest reason is security. multiple options gives at least some escape route if one engine screws up. Other is breaking standards, but so far this doesn't seem to be a big issue because of the open nature of blink / webkit.

plus they really sell themelves as the all gloriuos knight, savior of people from evils of big bad wolf. Fine, but who is actually under the shiny helmet? Answer is not that glorious. The knight is just a puppet.

Yes they do, mostly bing + yahoo and yandex. Do they give which percentage of backends they use for any non trivial search?

So its 95% bing/yahoo. I wish they were more transparent. But it does not sound nice when they say do not useevilgoogle instead use our slightly modified bing/yahoo wrapper.

I think they sometimes mix yandex, yahoo and other stuff as well. There is a reason they never disclose what percentage of queries are served from which source, kinda spoils their magic i guess. Kudos to bing team though, they seem to impro

Did you try your own sentence "floating point operations that can produce NaN." "Making nan"is a very tricky query, because it has no context that is related to floating point. I think it is not fair to expect anything

So DDG aka (bing / yandex) is better for double quotes.. maybe, but it could also be just an illusion, try same queries there and see.

I hear this sometimes but have never seen anyone giving proper examples of it.Which queries were answered better before, or by other engines? It is always vague.

I used Chrome since its early alpha versions on Linux, and I have to disagree. Even in its first days Chrome was a far superior browser speed, responsiveness and security wise. Firefo caught on some of these nowadays, but not nearly e ough
