I can't remember specific employers, (and if I did, I'm not inclinded to "out" them) but I know job recruitment site TopProspect requires LinkedIn. As a side-note I recently moved to San Francisco and I'm looking for work as a UI Designer.

Its interesting to see how many employers use LinkedIn as the only way to apply.

You can do a one-on-one chat between Macs on iChat and PCs running AIM, but you cannot do a three-way chat.

It's been many years since we've had a new Mac chassis. I'd love to see Apple apply some of their touch screen technology to the Mac line.

I like the idea. Too bad it doesn't work on my iPad. It's hard enough carrying a cello around on the subway, so I'd prefer not to carry a whole laptop.

Or does it? How can you find evidence for a fourth spacial dimension? We could be living on a "bubble" of three-dimensional space as a fourth is filling in undetectable from us.

We live in the era of CSS3, embeddable web fonts, & the text-shadow property, yet this is what represents IE 9’s support for web typography: http://jsdo.it/event/svggirl/img/movie/img_loading_01_en.png If you’re going to resort to ras

This is amazing! It’s hard to imagine these images are real given how complex and beautiful the UI design is. · Multiple fonts. · Multiple, simultaneous languages. · Dithered graphics to simulate value, tone, and shading. · Rounded buttons.

I have a catch-all account for my domain. If I sign up for a service I use their domain as the user on the address I give out. E.g. facebook@mydomain.com. The result is that all email that isn't personal nor directly related to my business

any timings you could add to better understand where bottlenecks appear in this flow chart diagram I'll look into it. I need to contact the author & see if he's willing to collaborate.

I might illustrate this as a flow chart. Would anyone be interested in that?

UI controls are a contributing factor to Android’s ugliness. I’ll argue that Android doesn’t have a worthy equivalent to Xcode’s Interface Builder. I have documented that iOS comes with scores of fonts available for Developers at http://iO

If Skype felt strongly in the design process they wouldn’t be asking for design consultation after the fact, right?

The assumption that too many people are making is that design is just that last thing to be welded on in the assembly line. Design isn’t just a product, it’s also a process.

I submitted the article because it reminded me of a pattern of good-spirited customer service I've had from Apple. It's a lesson in how to treat customers in a way that rewards their humanity. The end result is that this guy and his wife wi

I think there are five major points of failure for Flash on tablets. 1. Flash integration into system battery management. 2. Software support for hardware acceleration, both for video, 3D, and 2D. 3. Flash objects' use of network hardware.
