Into BC? That seems counterintuitive. I had a friend who worked at the Canadian border in BC a few years back. According to him, the main reason the border exists is to control goods coming from the states so that they can be taxed. A lo

I swear I've never seen a warning for this or the Location API change.. And I have my console open always. Are the warnings only in Canary? I develop in Chrome stable.

I'm generally okay with this, but it broke one of my sites and is the second time in recent months that Chrome has made a sweeping, possibly breaking change with its browser with basically zero warning (the other blocking location API

I used to work for the Public Knowledge Project ( https://pkp.sfu.ca/ ) which has been directly impacting the Open Access movement for years. Not a sexy startup, but they have great reach and have helped many academics publi

In the cities I've lived in, there have been quite a few hackathons put together with other industries such as Hacks & Hackers (Journalists and devs) and Music-related hackathons. Take a look on meetup.com, there are probably tons

Check out Cushion App: http://cushionapp.com/ . I don't use it, but I follow his blog and he has some very thoughtful posts on design.

This looks great! I've been on the hunt for a good CMS-as-a-service and have been a bit disappointed by the current options. Does fieldbook handle image uploads? Any other caveats for using this as a full-blown CMS?

Do you have an example gulpfile that uses devd? I've had a lot of trouble getting connect + nodemon to work well together and would love a better solution.

One tip to save a bit of time: Most browsers have plugins that let you automatically send a magnet link to your remote transmission daemon when clicked on (the chrome plugin also shows your transmission activity in a popover).

Very interesting, I never really noticed the scripts section in package.json. I realize its all the same underneath, but does this give you the same speed benefits as Gulp? Or do gulp's streams (which I admit to having a loose unders

I agree with you; The semantic web has a real use case in defining a consistent way of organizing knowledge in the many disparate APIs that developers work with. I think as we build and consume APIs more and more, designing them in an ad-h

We don't necessarily need AI, we just need APIs to be standardized so everything knows how to interface with them. This is IMO the killer app for the Semantic Web (I just wrote an article on this: https://medium.com/@m
