Infrastructure support is not there yet either, which is kind of a political issue as well, but also a future need.

Might as well, it's basically useless. Very few sites support it, major ad networks instead have an opt out [1] that nobody knows about and if you block 3rd party cookies, isn't relevant anyway. Blocking trackers remains the end u

I searched "jobs near me" in Firefox and saw nothing special. Apparently it only works in Chrome based browsers. Even if I paste the URL of the special jobs result page back into Firefox, I get redirected back to a standard Google

I have to keep reminding myself that I don't need to jump onto every bandwagon. When I feel like some part of my workflow is too outdated or too broken, only then is it time to learn something new. I read about Vue and React, but I sti

I've never found one place to keep everything, so it goes into many different places. The only thing I need to remember is where everything is, which is a significantly shorter list than what everything is. I mainly use Fastmail.com, P

I thought I was pretty clever when I figured out I could "block" calls to my dumbphone by adding a contact prefixed with "zzz" and setting their ringtone to a silent audio clip I recorded. I wonder if there's an And

I'm not sure how this will bode for my own extension, which I maintain for my own private use to do whatever comes to mind, like redirecting certain pages, applying userscripts and css files, and some other customization. Also I wouldn

I'm also a RefControl user, I've blacklisted only about 15 sites. I'm surprised how little the Referer header matters these days. Of course it should never matter at all, it's so easy to spoof.

I've noticed that I get the house numbers when I leave 3rd party cookies enabled, and a much harder, often impossible captcha when they're disabled. Since leaving them off doesn't break much else, I do, and just fill out the

Or even easier than maintaining such a database, just allow users to whitelist certain locations they frequent, with a training mode to easily set it up: start recording, go about a normal day, stop recording and save.
