This comes from either business or the UX people who want stuff to look pixel perfect to their stupid wireframe. Why does a website that sells to a pretty much captive audience who cares more about functionality than looks obsess so much ab

People are down voting you but this is very similar to the answer I got from a real employee (as opposed to a v dash) at Microsoft. Their solution was they use something called power toys, which is technically a Microsoft product. Problem i

More likely outcome is the companies will spend even more on AWS, deploying to multiple AWS regions... Just a guess but I think this bubble will stretch a bit more before it pops.

It could be something as simple as answering the phone. Or checking if the default image for a product on an ecommerce website exists. If you answer the phone or write a quick script to check if the default image exists, now you sort of bec

In context of GNU and FSF, when we say free software, we always mean free software with the basic freedoms Freedom 0: The freedom to use the program for any purpose. Freedom 1: The freedom to study how the program works, and chang

The camera is also surprisingly software dependent. Using the pixel camera vs using default configuration with an app called open camera, the difference is so clear. The camera is basically all software — the images are pure trash before pr

I don't mind the many multiple distributions but the default experience really sucks. For example, there should only ever be one clipboard by default. If power users want multiple, they can go out of their way to configure their device
