It's very good then. Urbanization is very extreme as is so things that alleviate it will go a long way to increase QoL of everyone.

Encounter is too small for notability. We all have six degree of separation after all. Erdos number is specifically publishing paper, which is much harder. Just like its variants like Bacon number for producing films.

This is exactly what union usually work for though. High barrier of entry combined with high salary. It's just that union fought to keep it that way instead of at the whim of company. But still, looks like this is why software engineer

Bus, specifically, has the worst UX of both worlds. You still get the unreliability of being on road (so still getting/contributing traffic jams) and the suffocation of train (due to being crowded public transportation). I mostly avoid

Maybe if it's 50% we can send SIGTERM so at least the host can try to make conclusion before closing off. But then if it's higher (66%? 80%?) then we do send SIGKILL.

I think it's more like guarantee. If it breaks down in less than 2 years, you get your money back. Still, no one buy a car to only use it for its guarantee period.

Ah yes I also sometimes think that some people who champion more regulations and safety actually don't want the thing to exist. Like any discussion about traffic management for example. Or every "think of the children!!".

At least we can put lots of nuclear plants in that 5,000 km^2 area so that definition becomes irrelevant for this discussion. Maybe putting the absolute maximum power generated if we turn all available lands to that purpose only is the best

Yeah especially when desertion in time of crisis is infectious. Tons of generals across the ages try hard to at least prevent the majority to do the same. Armies lost when they lost morale and fled, or in other words when they mass desert.
