Interesting, here in London for example, the older the house the more money it's worth generally. Actually, it's kind of a reverse bell curve, with the lowest point falling for buildings built during the 50s/60s. The most des

As someone who has lived in the UK, France and Spain - the whole concept of it being normal that "downtown" is grim is really strange. Over here the city centre is typically the nicest (and most expensive) part of the city to live

Amusing and thought provoking. Does anyone have any idea how this would hold up in a court of law should some something malicious come of this repo? I would imagine not well.

If you're looking for whole flats zoopla has a really powerful map-based search where you can manually draw areas on the map that you want to search in. If you're looking for a flatshare then you can search on a map on Spareroom,

The whole point of it is to eliminate spaghetti code. Traditional large frontend apps often end up with very complex chains of information dependency and it can become unclear as to what changing a piece of code will affect. Flux tries to p

I think you've got it the wrong way round, actually. British shows typically run for a 6 episode series and then might go several years before a new series is produced. The Thick Of It has had 24 episodes since its inception in 2005, w

Remember that working in The City also means you'll need to sell your soul. I started off there and hated everything - work-life balance, the culture, the work - some seem to enjoy the money but to me it's not worth it.

I wanted to say this too - Whatsapp has made a HUGEimpact on the world. It's completely changed how I interact with my friends and family, massively for the better. Pretty much everywhere other than the US it has completely replaced SM

Same here in the UK. Looks like before my ISP had blocked the specific IPs AND the domain at the DNS level. Obviously now TPB is using a different IP, so if you use Google's DNS servers instead of your ISP's then you should be ab

Have you had a look at jrnl? [1] It's a command line journal and has inbuilt (optional) encryption [2]. I keep my encrypted journal file in my ~/Dropbox folder so that it syncs between my different machines. It's so simple, y

Can you let us know a bit more about what this is? Native to what? Android / iOS? Desktops? Does it allow you to render native components with JSX as opposed to only DOM elements? Can you mix the two, somehow?
