    Yes, Kitematic does install docker-machine automatically which also sets up docker. For CLI, in Kitematic menu there is a button where you can install the binaries.

    Kitematic 0.4 is much more stable than previous versions. This is meant to address some stability issues rather than introducing new features. We are still working hard to make the experience as smooth as possible.

    Linking containers is definitely something we're looking into for the future. In this release, there is environment variable support in settings.
