Not a lot of convincing arguments there, even if his advice is good. > Javascript didn't always have this massive body of work. Let me know when GO does.

It would be the most boring April Fools joke of the day. As a real thing I find it quite useful.

I have mixed feelings for this. At first I thought shills are always dishonest and evil. Then at the end of the article there is the comment about the targets being aware but still enjoying it. I guess it could be looked at as live theat

This is the third april fool joke from Google I've seen today. They are taking the whole thing a bit too far.

A checklist is a useful form of technology assistance, although ancient. Maybe some sort of AI technique will make it easier in the future. Sort of an assistant to guarantee conformance.

To me a big motivation is to keep control of the content on your page. Also, isn't it a copyright violation?

The newest reference date in that paper is 2009 so I suspect the paper itself is a bit old. I really doubt that video would be other than state-of-the-art when the whole system is so expensive. Edit: Also that company makes add-on collision

I'm sure Clinton pushed to have this happen ASAP. She can't have this hanging over her when she gets to the general election.

I just reached 501 karma and I can't see any download button. The threshold must have been raised again. Edit: I am starting to see them now, but only on some posts. I suspect there is some kind caching. In any case the threshold is

This makes it obvious how successful the Wallet Card was, I wonder how well Google Pay is doing. I would not have even heard about Google pay if I wasn't on HN, and I have used Android from the beginning.

Is anyone else getting tired of these github search posts? It would be nice if they were all in just one post. Actually the comment threads on this post are all that are needed.

This article makes it sound like people have individual schedules that are somehow locked in. My experience is that my schedule changes and I can force it to change. I can get on a 7am schedule or a 11am schedule by slowly forcing it. Als

It's weird that it lies about the number of lines. It says 200 when the actual count is about a dozen.

This makes sense. Ads have been personalized for a long time so why not pages? Some work is needed to create these but for people trying to squeeze every conversion they can out of visitors is may be worth the trouble. It also might help

I have a big problem of getting headaches when watching 3D tv. There is a physical reason for this. Your brain thinks that when you look far away your eyeballs should elongate to change focus. So when viewing 3D tv the brain is confused.

At first I thought this was the same problem as automatically breaking up apps to run in multiple cpus. This problem has been heavily researched with no success. Is it the fact that GPU code already runs in parallel streams that makes this

Does anyone know how this power/neuron compares to the brain? I know the brain requires a lot of power. The typical person's brain uses 300 of 1300 calories burned a day. One would think muscles burn it all. This power usage i
