When I ended up in the tugboat business I was surprised to learn that there are markets for sand in both directions between Florida and The Bahamas. We export some types of sand from Florida to The Bahamas for use in concrete construction.

Yeah, I was specifically wondering about n>2. Your approach seems reasonable.

From the commit: “The values used were chosen such that it takes a large number of bit flips to change from allowed to denied. Using random values doesn't really protect against this attack.” It would be neat to see an algorithm that g

This does not match my experience. Can you provide some clear explanation or examples of why having less power to express a schema is desirable?

You think that is a conspiracy and not emergent behavior?

Not to me. I have lots of data exchanging going on where the format is expressed well in XSD and in JSON Schema it is expressed through documentation, code, and a history of angry emails.

I had a similar problem 18 years ago. I had bought a house with a heat pump connected to the water heater. When it failed, I could not find a local technician competent enough in both plumbing and air conditioning who would touch it. I ende

I enjoy JSON for internal stuff and where it does not matter that JSON is not very expressive. JSON Schema is a poor substitute for a proper schema. For anything where I am interfacing with another person or team, I send them a DTD or XSD,

Indeed. I get a lot of value out of my strongly typed XML documents. I generally have code that validates them during writing and after reading. Those who don’t understand XML end up learning why it is verbose when they eventually add all o

While I agree that I don't want to hear about some things in the workplace, I don't know how to define that. Many decisions a company makes are inherently political.
