In blog spammer terminology, the AP is a shallow content farm that subscribers can either copy verbatim or spin into new articles to avoid duplicate content filters, as long as they provide credit/backlinks.

IDEs turn textual languages into quasi graphical languages. E.g. a porthole showing a symbol's references across the project, where you can seamlessly edit the code in some distant file somewhere. Or when a bulky Java object is collaps

I haven't used F# in a while, but it seemed pretty clean for OOP with a couple of caveats. You have to explicitly implement interfaces and do a lot of casts to use interface members, which is ugly compared to the rest of F#. It's

Being able to communicate via whiteboard is a useful skill. I'm not good at it, but I appreciate those who are. That seems to be what this author is advocating: jotting down ideas, designs, diagrams, temporary notes. If the team depend

The long tail very often has to "ride on fumes" until payday. Unless the tolls are literally cheaper than the fuel cost of idling in traffic, the result will be to punish those uppity poor for imagining they could afford a car (wh

It's too bad this was written in a way to alienate half the country. The need for decentralized, robust preservation of knowledge and data is non-partisan.

The way the system is now, if you gather evidence by "torture" (remembering it's just an analogy) and fail to come up with a convincing cover story for how you gathered the evidence, then the case is dismissed and everyone go

It seems like Kansas ought to be a much bigger tech-hub for startups (along with other central-US states) because everything is cheaper and you can get reasonable latency to both coasts without having a presence on both coasts. What's

I liked the overall idea of the N93 and wish Nokia (or someone) would use it as inspiration for a new design. Having the camera on the side with a swivel screen, there's no need for a lower quality front-facing camera.
