A subscription pay wall would give the most noticeable drop in duplicate accounts. As long as your service is free and account creation is simple (which it should be), you'll get duplicates if there's incentive to do so. Things you can chec

As an aside, I'm impressed with how well we handle spurious downvotes here. I saw your comment at -3, and yet it has since been "neutralized". Good to see.

Now we must hope that Microsoft's market share won't force these new features to remain niche. As long as IE retains a lot of market share while not including these new features, the web can only go forward so far.

Which, in a way, makes it seem less impressive to me. They could've dumped the video feed, and it would function the same. So it's less augmented reality than clever use of the accelerometer and compass.

To each his own; I jog a 9-ish mile pace (4-ish miles) often. I find it enjoyable, and it provides good exercise, yet it's not daunting enough to make me drop the good habit.

It'd probably be monopolistic if they blocked IE8, and maybe IE7. But I think IE6 is legitimately old enough, with enough known problems, that it would be justifiable if it ever came up in court.

Some videos show that SSDs could improve experience in terms of booting, launch, etc: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJMGAdpCLVg It's that kind of speedup I'd like to see -- disk-heavy tasks that don't peg the CPU.

It'll be nice when SSDs come down in price/GB. Should help make day-to-day work seem just a tad quicker.

I've got a related question, by the way: Would it be possible to create an IE plugin to render a page using WebKit? Has anyone attempted this?

If you aren't able to paint a wall, you can grab a 8' x 4' sheet of Melamine from Home Depot (or similar), which works quite well as a whiteboard. It isn't as robust as the expensive whiteboards, but can be replaced as-needed since it's so

Right, but that's a different question. It's possible to do one of three things: 1. Stay on 2.x 2. Move to 3.x 3. Simultaneously support 2.x yet also move to 3.x Hopefully, even projects like Django could move to 3.x for ne

Heck, if and when I find bugs that affect .1% of users .1% of the time, I'd put it at a lower priority than the release, even with a tiny project. Cost to benefit.
