I never thought I'd say that, but now that I use Django Forms with Pylons, I don't want to go back. I've converted my startup's forms into Django forms, and it really fits together nicely. The glue code I posted is just a few hundred lines,

Eh. I disagree. I've been including Eventlet in a lot of my comments lately, but not because I have any affiliation with it (I don't). But it has quite literally made asynchronous coding so much easier that going back to deferreds or call

You're an airplane pilot trying to get your bird off the ground. You have to attain a certain velocity to succeed. If your runway is short, you'd better open the throttle wide -- and if it isn't working, you have to decide pretty quickly to

I'm looking more for something community-or-compatibility driven. The web community pushes for certain things; when everyone except IE gets on board, Microsoft should strive to pursue those standards. Poor word choice on my part: Microsoft

It's frustrating that this is the state we're in. We've got just about everyone EXCEPT the major browser vendor working on cool, useful, forward-thinking innovations, and standardizing on them with relative ease. Yet all of this innovation

Does Apple actually contact every developer that they feature on the front page in the same manner, or was it just because of that "Free MP3" promotion part?

Yeah; I didn't want to confuse people who don't know that Eventlet's API passes a tuple (they might think it sends handle_socket 2 arguments)

Good, except that you still have to deal with authentication, authorization, and other security aspects of a server-side component. Server-side code won't go away no matter how fat the client gets.
