I wish articles like this would namespace their assertions by telling us what they mean by "good" or "bad", so we could avoid the perennial echo chamber debate that goes like this: A: GOOD MEANS SHIPPING AND PLEASING YOUR CUSTOMERS

Perfect idea for a business-selling slide. It answers two powerful questions: 1.) What gap are you filling? and 2.) Is there a precedent for success when filling gaps of this type?

I find games like this utterly vapid and without any appeal whatsoever. I wonder if there's a name for the condition in which you are psychologically immune to these games, for whatever reason. I'm thankful I have it.

You're thinking too much. It's an anecdote about kindness and greatness and their inherent compatibility. You can't understand it with your head. You have to feel it with your heart.

Ad hominem doesn't mean "calling them a name or label that isn't true"--it means "implying that their argument is less valid because of their state of mind or perspective".

Just FYI, on this site you reply by hitting the small "reply" link under someone's comment. It's all threaded.

This is well-written, candid and interesting, but I feel like I'm missing out on a lot because I've never played EVE. Can someone who is familiar with the issues (for example, what is "ship spinning"?) give an overview of what led to this?

Yeah, I read it in another comment thread shortly after making this one. ( In the industry, we call this "the art of self-trolling". ) I give you a sincere tip of my nerdhat for pursuit of accuracy even when it's kinda awkward.

Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus. I literally purchased my first Apple product a couple of months ago with great skepticism; I am a frequent critic of iTunes, and Apple products in general. I always viewed Steve Jobs as someone w

Do you use the "gradual shift" setting? I've noticed that a lot of people don't realize it's there, and they use the "sudden drastic change" setting, which is very jarring. Also, make sure it has the correct coordinates/zip code for your

I'm so used to reading " Not all who wander are lost" that my brain originally parsed this headline as "All who wander are lost". Then I clicked through and the URL was "all-who- wonder -are-not-lost", so I went back to check and see if
