No, it doesn't. Next! ts;dr: This title is such flagrant linkbait that I can't bring myself to click on it, even though I'm a hippy rubyist and bash on java all the time.

I was going to agree entirely with eplanit's comment (that this post is merely a vent for the author's ego), but I literally felt a wave of relaxation when I looked at his mockup. It's probably not perfect, and it probably has some flaws

That's a good point. The author said, "... a comment explaining the problem the code is trying to solve [would have helped]," which is what threw me--that's what the function name is for!

Note: Spoiler alert. The author says, "Meaningful variable and function names would have helped, but..." and I don't really see why he needed the "but." The first function can be renamed "get_exponent(base, exponent)" and the second, "get_

I pirated Photoshop for years as a teenager, until I was good enough with it to get paid as a freelancer. With my first check from a freelance gig, I bought a licensed copy. In this sense, Photoshop paid for itself, but it could not have

Perhaps this one fits as well: Before mastering C, bits are bits, bytes are bytes and pointers are pointers. While learning C, bits are no longer bits, bytes are no longer bytes, and pointers are no longer pointers. After mastering C, bi
