I think this is why it's non-trivial to build a distributable exe of the program, right? The exe would need a lisp interpreter/compiler bundled with it, because at runtime it might generate some code and run it!

Genuine conversations are sometimes risky. Quitting once you have a job secured can be favorable to being fired, for example. Not having genuine conversations is part of the game unfortunately. Most orgs are political.

People will still manage in such situations. It will be adhoc and depending on social evolution rather then a formal structure.

I coded from 8, but more down to luck of being bored and having a computer than being some kinda prodigy. At 8 I was indeed "just stuck trying to make your stupid loop not give you a syntax error". Probably lack of an ego at such

Reminds me of a company years ago that had particularly low morale for various reasons. They then entered one of these good place to work competitions and told us that "yeah it's ironic, but help us by giving us a good review beca

You don't replace the human code review. You supplement it. An AI that can replace the code review would need to be an AGI that "sat" down with your team and understood the architectures and meaning in your code. If it can&#x

This is a good thing to be aware of. Also the "field" of floating point numbers is not commutative†, (can run on JS console:) x=0;for (let i=0; i<10000; i++) { x+=0.0000000000000000001; }; x+=1 --> 1.000000000000001 x=1;for
