What do you class as part time? 4 day weeks should be a lot easier to get, you can get a 5 day then ask to move down. Below 4 days probably gets a lot harder. You might want a non-technical client and freelance for them. Pay might be crap t

By design? Or running code in the browser is inefficient? (not your fault, that's the way it is) Keepass (Desktop app) for example doesn't take ages to open.

A side project can be 2 hours a week. You can optimise making dinner so it take less time (cook in bulk, make some meals salads). Exercise can be done at home, probably 30 minutes in the morning and evening is more than enough.

A day job doesn't have to be your side project's enemy. If you do web dev at work you get paid to do something that makes you efficient at web dev. Then you go home and work on your side project and you don't need to spend ho

Interesting comment, but for those of use who don't do infra but are curious, what is the problem with NFS, and what do you use instead? My ears always prick up when someone says ... or implies ... to not use something in production!

Interesting. Honestly that feels alien to me, and it might be for a number of reasons, including inadequate networking, not "selling" myself well enough, or being too much of a team player to not stand out as the 5X-er or 10X-er w

I'd buy one of these for a picture frame, to have changeable art. Sounds nuts (?), but at some point a big one of these would cost less than a painting and you have it change to suit your mood.

Watching without headphones feels impossible nowadays. The talking volume is low, but the music is top whack. So you need to keep turning the volume down each time there is music otherwise it is embarrassingly/annoyingly loud.
