I definitely think you can get pretty far building speaking and listening skills in Japanese without kanji. However, learning hiragana is, I think, absolutely necessary. Why? They are the building blocks of how Japanese actually sounds. I h

For $20, you can go to local greenhouses here in Japan and have 30-minutes of all-you-can-eat strawberries. Giant juicy strawberries same or similar to what are seen here. Pick them yourself and dip them in the supplied sweet condensed milk

yeah, our toast is toasted in a frying pan. Tiny kitchen here. I'd like to try an air-fryer, but for now my one table-top appliance is a instant pot. It is used daily.

Yeah, and it's not linear either as more and more people attempt to climb it every year, and as equipment gets better. With those two figures alone, it's a barely useful statistic, I guess.
