Um, just to not leave falsities where someone might find them: you can indeed call foreign methods from the method started by a wrenCall! But that foreign method can't then do another wrenCall.

I found Wren a few days ago too and I've been integrating it with Zig and having a blast! You may have noticed that calling foreign methods from Wren really only works with wrenInterpret, and can't be used for reentrancy from wren

I actually started hacking on a Prolog X11 WM last year, got distracted by other things but what I started with was a module to define BSP-style partitions using rational constraints, so you would be able e.g. to easily cycle between valid

I don't know what they mean by this but the obvious interpretation is not true. It understands other languages, it even does really well with low representation languages, in my case Latvian.

Zig can represent AoS to SoA very nicely, it's a favored technique for the Zig compiler itself and well supported by the standard library where it's known as a MultiArrayList.

I remember as a teenager wondering why lynx felt so slow, so I looked into the source code and discovered it was literally calling sleep() while displaying status messages, so I commented that out and made my internet experience Blazingly F

That's how I got interested in this kind of memory layout in the first place. I wanted a nice Lisp for WebAssembly and had recently gotten into Zig. When I started defining the word structure I remembered Andy Kelley's talk about

Quick reply to the cdr thing: car/cdr are old Lisp names for the head/tail fields of linked list cells! :)

Oh yeah, continuation pointers also have their own array like every other field kind, which should have similar benefits as list traversal but for continuation copying... It's a really interesting design area, I think. Zig makes it eas

I actually made a Lisp interpreter in Zig a couple of years ago that has each object type in a separate heap array. In fact each field of each object type has its own array: every CDR is in one contiguous array. This was mostly for fun and

It's not so simple. An analogy is the Rust formatter that has no options so everyone just uses the same style. It's minimally "unethical" to use idiosyncratic Rust style just because it goes against the convention so peo

I've noticed it's necessary to cut long audio into sections, otherwise it starts getting confused and repeating itself. The output token limit only lets you transcribe a few pages at a time anyway.
