Fun fact: Now that recent macOS versions require you to disable security features to install macFUSE, there’s the awesome fuse-t. It works as a drop-in replacement, doesn’t need the kext and will open up an NFS server in the background and

A Reddit user found a solution: https://old.reddit.com/r/MacOSBeta/comments/1fhl39c/system_e... I've noticed he disabled "Find My Mac" in the first step and only enabled it again after eve

You must have missed the part where it says that it's an M1 Mac. They don't have NVRAM you could clear. And zeroing the entire drive is also a bad idea as it also houses the "One True Recovery" - the only allowed pre-boo

I've got the same on a stock M1 MBP. At some point in the past I've disabled SIP - probably when I was playing around with FUSE. Did all the Betas - never had any problem. However, after installing the RC/final version of Seq

Not macOS directly, but there’s fuse-t which works in userspace and just creates an NFS server which it automatically mounts via macOS-own capabilities. The library is a drop-in replacement for libfuse and works great for me. https:/&

I’d be VERY careful with those. There are cheap Chinese “smart watches” that simply show fake values for SpO2. People have put them on bananas and the watch still “took a reading” and showed oxygen saturation to be “95-100%”. With these wat

Just using quotes usually was enough to make these words/phrases “required”. However, I believe there was a change (last year?) where they now sprinkle in other “relevant” results.

In my Sonicare, the brush heads have an NFC chip in them that stores the “runtime”. After xx uses an icon starts blinking on the handle and the app will tell you that the brush head needs to be replaced. But at least you’re free to ignore t

I’ve switched from 1P to Strongbox which is using a Keepass2-compatible database in the background. But Strongbox integrates into the Apple AutoFill API so it works (and mostly feels) like the native Apple Keychain thing. Only for Chrome or

KeepassXC can sync changes between your opened database and the (modified) file on your storage. However, you need to make sure your sync tool doesn’t see conflicts and renames the file, i.e. don’t save the database on multiple systems at n

In the GoMap display settings (the “map” button above the big “+” button), you can enable “Quests” which is basically the same thing StreetComplete does. In GoMap you can even define your own “quests” for details to add.
