The app is more than a regular app. Just like the macOS installer apps, the Server install app installs macOS Server components to the system.

I thought the Xeon Phi line is better now that it is all one processor instead of a separate coprocessor. I saw a few weeks ago here on HN on an actual use case for its MCDRAM and spreading the load over its separate clusters of cores.

SteamOS is Linux, based on Ubuntu. So I assume it is ext4, ext3, or xfs. Btrfs is not stable enough IMO for something like SteamOS.

Adaptive Bitrate Streaming works by having multiple copies of the source video at different bitrates, resolutions, and audio qualities. Torrents are usually one file, which would not allow Adaptive Bitrate Streaming.

This is Electron-based, but it looks a lot more integration than a normal Electron skin. I consider it may be worth looking into especially with the media button integration.

Yet you can extract the embedded app.asar and get the source code if you so please. There may be native libraries that are closed source. This is another Electron app after all.

Apparently there are very little changes in the Sony PS4 kernel compared to FreeBSD 9. Sony changed some of the parameters to syscalls and added a bunch of their own syscalls.

There are still BBS's around. You just need to look. There are some BBS art on sixteencolors and some of the art packs have addresses for some BBS systems.

The only other dependencies would be assets and OS included libraries. All of the code executed is part of the binary or it is remote JS.
