"Sanité" - it's related to 'moissanite', the 'é' makes it sound classy, and of course it's pronounced 'sanity' as that is what it brings to the whole ridiculous diamond situation.

Some people can be taught to write code, however far fewer can be taught to or have the natural ability to problem solve. This is the 'art' aspect behind software development that I feel the 'teach everyone to code' appr

I never drank when I was first diagnosed, and didn't for some years afterwards. Now I sometimes do, but whether I do or don't there is no noticeable influence on my illness. Still, if you have found something that seems to work, y

This is excellent news. I am slightly ashamed to admit that an ex-g/f once convinced me to go to a homeopath to try and treat my Crohns, and back then I was completely ignorant of what that meant. Some hundreds of dollars later and a c

Indeed. I've been using XS on Mac and VS on PC to build a cross-platform product - with shared code for 'core' calculations + view model stuff and dedicated GUI pieces for each platform - for a couple of years now, and I'

Unfortunately these kind of beliefs can be harmful not only to autistic children but their parents also. This is not about 'belief', it's simply that you have no evidence to support your claims.

I've worked with a PCB layout designer, and one comment he made is that it's far easier to do a 'by eye' check of, firstly, the virtual layout in CAD, and then the assembled board when things are arranged neatly or at &#

Same here; I've written a cross-platform (PC and Mac) .NET application that generates reports as HTML in shared code, and both systems create printable output as PDF files created by WKHTMLTOPDF.

We've got 10-12 users connected to a SBS 2013 server with a couple of RAIDed HDDs and 8GB RAM, and - yes - the SQL Server service pegs out at the maximum allowed RAM (which I think is 1GB or so) pretty much the whole day. However the p

IMO, it depends on how long you are planning to stay there. For a year - it might be ok, especially if you are working on your own stuff (that isn't in Delphi) out of hours. There is nothing wrong with Delphi from a technical point of
