I guess that makes sense. I have been doing it just because I figure it's an easy way to limit my potential data breach exposure. Didn't know about this medical credit score thing.

I usually don't give medical providers my social security number. It's on all their forms, but I just skip that section and no one has ever come back to clarify that it's required. I have no idea if they can require it or not

Dedicated lanes and car restrictions make buses acceptable public transit pretty cheaply. They can at least serve as a bridge in cities that are borderline ready for restrictions to get the ball moving faster.

They come back, but it's significantly lower volume than without the block. I recently made a new account and was surprised by the volume. Mine is 100% (I think) from blocking ads, if you want a second source: https://blockt

Hmm, that's weird. I use it for hours at a time on most Sundays. I'm sort of surprised how well it works.

There's an android/roku app that makes this fairly seamless in all the instances I've tried. It even does a good job of finding videos in a web page if you don't have a direct link. https://play.google.com

McKinsey has been generally in the news of late as Pete Buttigieg has gotten more traction in the polls because that's that he credits for much of his experience. Its probably not HN specific.

As a bike commuter, I'm pretty happy to be back on standard time. Light is much more valuable to me on my morning commute as it also makes things warmer.

"The Coming Plague" is a book from 1994 that gave him plenty of credit. I read it a long time ago, but definitely remember it talking about him. It focuses on "virus hunters" from the CDC/WHO that tracked down a lot

Most trips are very short. West LA where I live, biking is my fastest commute option (4 miles) because I don't get stuck in traffic. Pushing people out of cars would probably speed up the cars that are used by reducing the traffic arou

I don't see why it would matter what form you're paying the creator in. I suppose in the absence of an apple pay direct link, you'd have to just use apple pay to pay for BAT. I think there's some sort of "re-fill $X

Well, the complete set of modern crashes is relatively small, and the set of crashes with unknown causes is very small, so the number of crashes tied to hacks is probably even smaller.
