That was sarcasm. But yeah, you can search for MongoDB and you'll come across many many posts criticizing it. It can be said Mongodb is hated ad much as Postgres is loved. Personally I have no opinion about mongodb.

Underrated? Man, he was one of very few geniuses who is celebrated everywhere. May be not in pop culture but everywhere else. On the other hand, in a sense, Neumann is truly underrated. I mean you can talk about him for days and still you&#

I don't think HN crowd is against relevant ads. Heck, they aren't even against ads. The issues are more subtle. I never used IG but I was on FB. I'd frequently see 'unbelievable' ads. I mean I see ads offering me la

You talk about US and I, as an Indian, realized during this pandemic that you must have a car no matter what. In last 12 years I never felt the need to buy a car so strongly as I did in last year.

Not a mathematician by any stretch. Heck, I am not good at even high school math. But there was a time, and I had too much free time, I explored Riemann zeta function a lot. Didn't understand much but I enjoyed it. I again want to expl

It does work on mosquito bite. Actually try putting anything (tolerably) hot at the place of mosquito bite. I don't have hair drier so I use just hot spoon. I guess this heat treatment somehow disintegrates the chemical released by mos

I am 41 years old. And I feel like in last 6-8 years, people have become far more intolerant regarding free speech. It is just not possible to say anything which is unpopular without inviting vicious attacks or even real threats. In part so

As someone replied to GP, you should definitely know how to complete tasks with only basic tools and without advanced tools. But it doesn't mean you should only use basic tools or no tools at all. I mean I do know how to calculate with

That is baseless comment. Their achievements are low hanging fruits but only by today's standards. You can say the same thing practically for anybody. Einstein discovered relativity because low hanging fruit. von Neumann did all the am

It is not bitcoin, it is the human race which is cancer to this planet. This race will consume everything, destroy every other race, gobble up all resources, drink up all the water and burn down every forest. And then it will destroy itself

I'd say 1500 dollar TV is a viable purchase given that a TV has a life of 15+ years as against to 1000 dollar iphone or any other mobile which actually has a life of may be 4-5 years. It would be the best of Apple product to show off.

How does one maintain mental sanity working 3 jobs at a time? I can sort of understand working long hours but 3 jobs? Even in relatively poor country like India, I've never seen anybody working in 3 jobs. Even 2 jobs are very rare.
