On similar lines, I've put together a library for myself that is framework agnostic: https://github.com/maxpert/htmxido Hopefully will be useful for people as well

Maybe a good DSL language. But I will avoid adding such complexity to my daily programming language at all costs.

For the folks who have been writing these inline HTML views and been wishing to have a more composable way of generating HTMX like in this blogpost try https://github.com/maxpert/htmxido

Would absolutely love to explore it deeper. Feel free to drop by community discord if you start experimenting with Marmot.

Depends on use-case. What you are building, here is one use-case for example where it made sense over postgres https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HycGtLjlikI

I have got an issue discussing this in place and exploring couple of proposals. Turns out folks using SQLite use plethora of techniques to maintain their schemas, so enforcing a framework that works with the rest of their ecosystem is easie

Glad you asked the question. I never recommend use auto-incrementing IDs in production always generate one (e.g. Twitter Snowflake). With ID generators you get rid of collisions.

I completely agree with your analysis. Understanding the complexities of achieving convergence with basic auto-increment counters without advanced CRDT types is 101 IMO. Those familiar with these issues inherently comprehend the challenges

Author of Marmot here. Marmot was born out of my own use-case (was building replicated SQLite based cache). While working on various problems I realized how well suited it might be for read heavy sites/workloads. If I take a typical CM

I've watched all the Redis goodness and potential slowly getting locked behind paid license. Specially after departure of the author of Redis. It's kinda sad to see such vibrant ecosystem now feeling stale.

Clearly killing open source and wrapping it in $h1t sandwich! I wonder if they were not making enough money, and somebody advised them to do this stupid move.

Finally virtual threads I can use in production with generational ZGC! I've been using Kotlin coroutines for a while now, and want to see how that evolves with JVM now supporting virtual threads out of box.

I've written a whole SQLite replication system that works on top of RAFT ( https://github.com/maxpert/marmot ). Best part is RAFT has a well understood and strong library ecosystem as well. I started of with libra

One of the reasons I started writing Marmot ( https://maxpert.github.io/marmot/ ) was for replicating bunch of tables across regions that were read heavy. I even used it for cache replication (because who cares if it’s a
