This pisses me off so bad: Quicksort does NOT have "the best big-O". It's big-O time complexity is O(n^2). Big-O refers to the worst case time complexity. Quicksort will on average take (n log n) time complexity, but t

If your company is trying to be environmentally-conscious and they don't allow telecommuting, then they are failing to do the one thing that would have the biggest impact on carbon emissions for most tech companies.

I use gmail as an archive of all the data / communications I've ever received. Now that messages will expire and be removed from this archive I suppose it's time to look at alternatives.

I'll throw it out there that I think coding boot camps are partly responsible for this situation. Yes, there were several very reputable ones, but there were also a lot of shady joints operating as little more than diploma mills. The

I've hired a lot of remote developers over the years and it has pretty much been a flop 2 / 3rds of the time. I had some reasonably good success with Columbian developers a few years back, but the two most outstanding devs I hire

The problem is I want to work ten hours a day. But my employer can't legally do that without paying massive penalties. So I have to take a part-time job on the side for much less money per hour.

Security is a lot easier to reason about on a static site. Especially if you're leaving the server security up to, say Amazon and hosting off of S3 or a CDN.
