I didn't even know about SourceHut. It seems like the weird cousin of Github. But I'm also a Github fan boiiiii.

So, I'm curious, what's the big thing about Zrythm? Is it that you can automate much more params than on Logic/Ableton? The fact that it's open-source is pretty cool though.

That is kind of mind-blowing. The landing page and the video using Windows XP makes it look unappealing though I'd still use 10/10

That's cool, but I was hoping for a tool that generates a nifty little text file like that. It might be a cool idea to automate the process.

That's super useful. Every time I'm setting up subdomains or playing with Cloudflare settings, I'm always so confused. This will help when I need to use dig.

Yep. I used to be an Instagram user. Stopped cold turkey when they removed chronological feed.

> Of course RSS is a very imprecise filter, but it's basically the antithesis of a Twitter or Facebook feed, where everything is short form and you tend to see whatever serves the platform's commercial interests (i.e. their def

That cool, I remember how RSS feeds were the shit even just a decade ago. Then they slowly faded away from mainstream adoption. Once Mail.app removed RSS, it seems like RSS were no longer part of my life lol These days, I love Twitter and R

Haha well that just blew my mind xD I personally don't really care about achieving anything. Why is this such a big thing? Why would we want to achieve all the APKs? There are too many of them lol History? Memories? Who cares, we'

Do you mean locked-down software? Do you have examples of hardware that the next generation might not be able to boot 30 years later? I'm curious and ignorant :D

I love the spirit, but is there any *successful* precedence? Sure, everything is now open-sourced, but setting up the kind of infrastructure that is necessitated to keep the thing up and running seems non-trivial.

Why would you assume that companies following suit would make symbolic gestures rather than a culture/values shift? This is a nuanced subject - companies won't just all start donation to OSS because of Sentry. But more and more co

Sure there are some details to iron out lol. But the point is that using a long-term approach - you will be able to pay people orders of magnitude more than if you take the short-term approach. Long-term becomes the short-term in the future

I know right! However, I do feel like individuals also have their part to play in this situation. If a business has to dedicate 1% of revenues to OSS, why shouldn't the individual, who is also an indirect beneficiary?

Then the value received for Sentry most likely also pale in comparison. I've never heard of Nim before this comment. It looks pretty cool, especially the self-contained aspect. Do you know of any big company using Nim in production?

If all software businesses could give away 1% to OSS, what a difference it would make! It's only a philanthropic decision because not all businesses wish to do the same. Because all are benefiting from the philanthropic efforts of a fe
