Just out of curiosity, what web apps are you thinking of that only require html, css, and javascript? Given, I believe there are some simple frameworks in javascript, but does anyone actually use just these three? Anything I can think of

"will it look ok on my resume if I stayed with an organization for a short period (3-4 months)" I don't think it looks bad on its own - as long as you are adequately able to explain the quick move if asked about it in an interview. As for w

College students may be the only demographic to consume more ramen noodles than bootstrapping start-up founders (willing to be proven wrong!). They'll expect this to be free and most likely won't pay unless they see incredible added value.

Josh - to be a little more useful, I'm a senior at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and I'd be glad to pass along your job opportunity to engin/CS seniors I know here if you have a blurb and contact info I can forward them.

This is all well and good, but speaking as a non-engineering college student, you're going to have to weed out A LOT of non-engineers at a general college career fair. If you're hiring just for engineer/developer types, I would go straight

While the long-term value and the use/abuse of AngelList is highly debated (see http://techcrunch.com/2011/02/26/angelist/ among others), one purpose of the site is to provide exposure to people with great ideas who don't necessarily have

If you're bootstrapping, not at all. If you're a company paying it's designers/coders a premium salary, probably worth it. You'll often end up paying more in-house in salary (and they can be working on something more valuable)than you will

Right - so what I'm saying is you may need to lower your end-product standards. There are certainly clients that will pay $3000-$3500, but many may only be able to afford $800-$1200 say. If you want their business, you need to be able t
