Codeberg suffers from the same problem as sourcehut. They are so fanatical that many groups are unable to use them. Sourcehut for example is hostile towards cryptocurrency related projects. Coderberg is hostile towards private repos.

Signal has over $50m in endowments. But their desktop app is built with electron. It's extremely clunky (over 200 MB) very slow and probably inherits all electron's security issues. I have noticed the same issue with desktop apps
