I saw the screenshot for Firefox View and at first I thought they were bringing back RSS! How slick would it be for Firefox View not to just show you the list of recent sites you've visited, but give you a preview of the _current cont

There's a nifty tool called Bridgy that helps with this--it's out of the IndieWeb community with their POSSE model: Post on Own Site Syndicate Elsewhere https://brid.gy/

There are things we can do to make RSS-based consumption much easier. I use an RSS browser plugin for Firefox[1] so that a feed icon shows up on any page advertising[2] a feed. The feed icon let's me subscribe to the site with 2 clic

Discovery has become the one thing that our social networking overlords do and focus on. But we learned about new things before them just by talking with our peers. I think the IndieWeb's concept of a Social Reader[1] can do a great j

I started working on Haven[1] (FOSS, self-hosted alternative to FB) because of privacy concerns with centralized social media, but the more I explored the space, the more I felt it was important for the mental-health and societal stability

This is a great read on setting up a WISP (wireless ISP)[1]. It might be US-centric, but has a lot of good resources for the process. Probably smaller-scale than what you're talking about but still a good read. [1]: https:/
