I rather not discuss the whole conflict. The fact is though, that modern Iran has little to no history of military intervention* and at least no history to suggest that any (if any really exists) ambition towards acquiring nuclear weapons i

That's absolutely not what I meant. The trigger condition is not the problem. The action is. It is not goal-based. I can't give a target value (as template) and the system tries to bring the entity to that state. I have to have an

That's not AI/Logic programming though. Ideally I'd write a boolean formula and the system tries to make it true by adjusting the values it can adjust. Say I want something like the light should be off it is dark and the wind

My main problem with Home assistant is the automation language. It could be very powerful, but isn't. I feel that if there was a way to introduce temporary state and force an expression as the value of a switch it could be great. I wou

Yeah, I started out orchestrating Home Assistant via Ansible throughout many devices in my home. Now I feel that it would take me days to recreate the configurations that I needed to make with the UI. Deprecating yaml is bad for configurati

Some functional patterns would be nice as well. Like summation and product are also folds and there are only imperative examples. This would be helpful as well: foldr (*) 1 [1..6] while this is the shown pattern: var value =

And while that is probably true for most of us and gorilla faces, even those midwesterners would easily distinguish an Asian person from a Gorilla. It's true that we're good at recognizing faces (even where there are none), and di

Human-like really depends on your interpretation. That's a generous reading of what's going on. If you google Gorilla faces, I don't think you would be confused. The AI is not that smart and these examples show it.

I don't know. I think I would not have a hard time picking out a gorilla at Starbucks. And I'd like to see a gorilla in any pose that's really hard (for a human) to differentiate from a person. The truth is: the recognition a

How does one navigate this website with a keyboard? The mouse wheel switches between the slides. The cursor key, page up/down, spacebar, don't work to navigate and the slide selectors at the right side can't be accessed using

As other people pointed out: this varies wildly by city or region. In urban areas cars are really not incredibly common. In Berlin you'll find that only 1/3 of people even own a car. Of course, even fewer go to work by car. In Mun

I wonder which regulation you're referring to. Most ticked boxes I can think of are indeed of the "does not kill a certain kind of person"-kind, or of the "can be used by a certain type of person"-kind. And of cours

For non-food in cities there is no fundamental reason why drones should be any more efficient than ground-based delivery. Flying takes in general more energy than driving and ground-based delivery is not more dangerous or much more expensiv

Regulating safety and noise are not a buzzkill. They are essential in preventing corporations, like most regulation, from killing people. Tesla's autopilot is the best example that the hurdles are not regulatory in nature, no matter wh
