Their trains kick the US' ass. So this metric is BS.

This is a dumb question but are telemetry intervals that far apart ? No data was sent in the last 2.1 KMs ? Or something at that level caused systems to fail immediately. Space is hard.

It's a "garbage company". Yeah right. Go outside your bubble and travel a little. See how many peoples lives have changed due to Google.

You clearly haven't seen code at Google and its "base" library.

What a stupid argument. They chose a better product in their head. That's not Facebook's fault.

Your H1B is your work authorization. You can keep your place in the green card line if you switch after your i140 is approved. If yo switch before that you apply for PERM and i140 again.

It does exist. You didn't do it doesn't mean others aren't doing it right now.

Most teams at Google have senior devs that ensure this. The average level is way higher than other companies.

Code reviews by senior people are massively helpful for junior devs. It's one of the perks of being in a good big company that very few startups can replicate.

Your view is parochial. A lot of people can't live without Uber and Lyft now. It seems arcane calling a cab company or waiting till one magically appears near you.

Totally agree. People on here saying it won't work. The first thing people from other apps check is a potential date's Instagram.

One data point doesn't change the fact that HN hasn't mass converted the world to use DDG. They may also be telling you they use DDG while they use !g or Google.

Yeah right. The competition is doing so well. Try running a video hosting service within the frameworks of the law. It's still the most popular service by a longshot. Classic HN being delusional again.

I hate unnecessary abstractions. All this "docker functionality" is actually just based on namespaces and cgroups. I get what you're trying to say though.
