Heh, not sure. I moved to the US in 2008. I think you and I talked about this when you were at WordCamp Boston when you were doing stuff with WPEngine. I think at least one of the W3C staff is in Devon.

There’s multiple different businesses doing business as “the co-op” in the UK IIRC, somewhat based on geography but with different branding too.

Good article. Mastodon and other ActivityPub apps support alt text too. I also see a lot of people who won’t share a post by someone else if it doesn’t have alt text so it’s also just a good idea if you want more people to see your posts.

The original version was the four (SMB1,2,3 and Super Mario Bros. USA aka the western SMB2) 8-bit Super Mario games ported to the 16-bit Super Famicom. New graphics, sound, etc. Super Mario 3D All-Stars was Super Mario 64, Sunshine and Gala

Because moving stuff takes time and with a small project like this who is going to setup the infrastructure for that? Also SourceForge supports version control that isn’t git. Pidgin has actually moved their source code to Mercurial so is u

I edit my posts in a self hosted Ghost site that I run on my laptop as needed and then I use Eleventy to translate that into a static website which gets pushed to Neocities.org via WebDAV (requires the $5 a month plan) https://ma

I used to work at the Free Software Foundation. I would get a lot of letters from prisoners who wanted copies of our books, people asking for a printed copy of the GPL and Google once sent thousands of AdWords flyers with seeds embedded in

Your own site has a security bug, apparently. It doesn’t seem very useful to scan a site and get nothing back.

I was lamenting the lack of native UI in Blender last night. I’ve been using Nova for the last few years. Increasingly native non-Xcode development tools seem to be few and far between. I have BBEdit and Nova, but a lot of people have swit

I’ve noticed that apps can tell when you’re taking a screenshot and often will pop up a little message first which appears in the screenshot. Reddit on iOS was one that did it.

Make a little demo site that shows off the things you know how to do. I think you probably know more than you realize. Imposter syndrome sucks. I wish you luck.

Apply for a junior web developer role. Python and JavaScript are good things to know. Is that JS on the backend or front end? If front end, do you know CSS and HTML5 well too?
