I, too, would say that I find this a strange comparison. I use Go for web services. I would use Rust for an OS or other low-level software such as, perhaps, a new OS or a reference implementation of some protocol I'd like to implement

Out of curiosity what broken languages in particular are you referring to? I'm also somewhat curious at to what language(s) you use.

There are plugins or you could console.log(JSON.stringify(jsonData, null, "\t")); The above will pretty print also.

I had a similar thought. It is quite common at our office to get loud about certain topics that specific devs may feel very passionate about (perhaps they made the decision to implement something and someone is arguing it should be done a d

For someone who doesn't seem to have a startup in any of those categories this just comes off as pretty ignorant / jealous in that people genuinely wanted a cooler more than any of your 5+ startups.

I have to imagine this is because the Apple Pay system directly integrates with (admittedly outdated) tech such as 3D Secure, Visa and Mastercard forms of tokenization, and the incumbents other systems. These are traditionally very differen

Did you remove the analytics piece the review seems to be complaining about? If so I can imagine that someone might be upset that they couldn't disable it.

When backups can be enabled at 20% of instance cost I'll deal with it. Nothing beyond development work runs on only one instance due to the problems I've seen even on Amazon.

You may have missed the point. Signing up for more services would be exactly the opposite of getting off the grid. Instead, do things like hosting your own email, use an OpenPGP card to access any Linux servers you run, stop using Facebook

While I think the article is garbage, I can definitely agree that the desktop is a problem. We need more people using Linux that are willing to make applications easy to use. Unfortunately I worked with GTK a bit this weekend and wow is tha

Thanks. I'll check it out. Looks to be a similar concept with a wildly different implementation. SPAN appears to operate at a much lower level.

With certain apps they actually added a pretty nice function for this. Youtube is one in particular that can queue up videos on a Chromecast from multiple devices.

I used to feel the same way. Then, I gave away my Apple TV and bought a Chromecast. Searching for content.. jumping between content sources.. it's all easier on the phone.
