We have made alot of progress over the past few years, especially with compatibility . An example of a web stack is crossbar.io who recommend it for production and even got their stack running with PyPy on a rasberryPi [0] [0] https:/

Real world use cases are large and messy. Now that the cython/pandas/numpy stack works out of the box on PyPy, we can begin to see how often the mix of python code (jittable, fast) and c code (fast) needs to cross the c-to-python

Yes things are getting worse, the cinfkuct is wearing patience thin, and, as of today, he had not been pardoned. But there will be no streets named after him, he will be dishonourably discharged from the military, and he will not be general

Assuming you were serious, a/b testing works only when you can determine the value of the outcome. How many of the millions of people who pass through immigration need to be rejected for reasons of national security?

PyPy is a different implementation of a python interpreter, it includes a JIT to rewrite hot code into assembler. See www.pypy.org for more info. The JIT cannot be tacked on to CPython (what you call python3) since it is part of the interpr

The OP refers to open source, but his comments apply just as much to any third-party component in your product. Many proprietary products also suffer from slow or non-existant upgrade paths, and then what do you do to upgrade the component?
