Yeah, better url would help... but what is it? I mean, I don't know what the word is that describes it... Reminds me of both billboards and those $/pixel things people did in the nineties.

I know its a lot to ask, but how would I go about finding a mentor? I wonder if a mentor might be more helpful than a shrink....

Thank you all so much for the kind words and encouragement. I have no idea how to find a shrink... if you were looking for one, how would you go about finding a good one?

Thank you for your advice. It's very difficult to think of anything as being lucky... I've had learning on my mind. I've always done business and UI design, really technology in general, but I've never really learned a language. I've been p

#3, I'm not sure I'm ready to be the mentor, I'm only 23... two years out of school, all spent building a business.

Thank you, I've discovered this... (un)fortunately, my business is beginning to grow rapidly, forcing me to make decisions I doubt I'm able to make. We shared the business, unofficially, but decisions we're mutually made... and now I'm maki

WOW! Thank you so much! I've never considered a single of these things, thank you so much for the time and ideas. I've just added all of these things to my to-do list for AB testing!

Just a couple notes I picked up: I don't see any security mentions anywhere. No SSL banner, no BBB, nothing. You could really use some sort of symbol, even a CC symbol would gain some trust. You have a little press, get those mentions up to

See this is based on the assumption that "you did it for the project" or "to learn and grow", but failure (for me) is based on goals and one's inability to meet them. If your goal was to "create a project", you have succeeded even in the fa

I find it difficult to avoid a bit of embarrassment... yes, I did learn from it... The goal isn't to learn, failure is failure. I try to find comfort in the things that went right and aim to not let it happen again, but it is nonetheless em

I co-founded http://www.myticklespot.com - we use Magento and have a ton of cart abandonment... our conversion rate is 1.34% and won't budge. Where do you see room for improvement? Thank you so much for this offer!

I really like that. I do general consulting from time to time and would love a great tool for lead generation for small web based businesses. Could really work well for connecting consultants with new clients they would otherwise never find

As an "adult space" startup, I say go for it. The only folks that really frown at me are banks and public institutions (schools, small government, etc.). It's fun, almost always very professional, and very progressive. Go for it! Have fun

We spent about 5 months away from sourcing adult products and attempting to carry high end bath and body products. The problem was always that the manufacturers didn't want to be sold next to adult products... Completely absurd, considering

A question I'm wondering is how this works with credit cards... do they offer a credit card payment option? From the article: "...Frierdich tried to hand him $12 in cash, but he directed her to put it in the donation jar." Seems like an opp

Most do suck. Most of our competitors have dismal websites filled with naked women and men. They have a no-returns policy, offer no support at all, and many (maybe 80% of those we've evaluated) don't even publish an address or phone number
