It’s laughable to think that anyone in psychology has a “technical” definition of anything really. It is entirely possible that our brain works in a very, very similar way. We really have no idea. Focus focusing on the difference between m

Use before readiness? I get immense and even life changing use out of Chatbots like Grok. I agree with your first sentiment that it’s just a misunderstanding of what a chat bot should be used for. But I disagree that they’re not “ready” for

Shouldn’t we have been REALLY good at modeling tsunamis? We know so much about ocean depth, water temperatures, viscosity, salinity, etc. Is modeling waves in a body of water really not that well understood? I would hope that now with this

Avoid vague terms like “size” when talking about a wheel. A car wheel all has a diameter, usually expressed in inches, and a width also usually expressed in inches. It’s not clear to me which dimension folks are saying, has a relationship t

We can survive without a constant stream of incoming raw materials. I wouldn’t think that makes us any less alive. Nor are we a parasite on the food.

If everyone returns their cart, retailers will certainly eliminate jobs. I see it as “job creator” behavior. When I see someone returning a cart I scream “job killer!”

Well two very similar companies merged. Can you imagine how they might have had A LOT of similar roles? Think departments like HR, Legal, Accounting, Finance, IT, etc. So much duplication. You don’t need 2x those groups just because you 2x’

I never understood the requirement for having to preheat your pipes. The dishwasher has access to a hotline, and a drain. Why wouldn’t it just run the hot water for 60 seconds to ensure it has maximum heat. This would just be a software fea

I’m a liberal and I have absolutely zero opinion about what we call various bodies of water. The hands wringing over such inconsequential monikers makes me embarrassed sometimes to be part of this party.

I actually wonder if it’s possible to coerce someone to use Face ID. If you have it set properly it requires your eyes to be open and looking at the phone, so someone can’t use it while you’re sleeping. They would have to hold your eyes up

Just look up his college campus debates. He would do a very unique round table debate format where he would have 20 college kids sit in a circle and each while get a minute to debate with him. It’s very wholesome and civil.

It’s because they’re working on a foldable phone. And to make that work you need to phone half as thin first. This is not because they think people want thinner phones. It’s because they think people will want bigger screens and this will g

It’s clear that super thinness is a technology imperative necessary to get Foldable IPhones. In order to fold, you first must solve thinness (since the final decide will be 2x once folded). Apple focusing on thinness is proof to me a foldab
