this depends on the faculty...a theorist with little experimental costs would spend less time applying for grants.

no they also do so. its just that the class is more like 20 and the teacher is very good. -source have sat in public school (also a VERY well funded publisc school) class with friends with parent's net worth > 90 million

and google has a pretty large fleet driving around the bay area. every time im in mountain view I see at least 3-4 a day when I'm just driving around

you might enjoy a book called "the structure of scientific revolutions" by thomas s. kuhn. a historian of science who basically argued this. that book was the origin of the phrase "paradigm shift"

if you think mathematics relies on intuition..you haven't done much mathematics unfortunately. the field is deeply paradoxical once you get into it deeply

yes precisely! i'm sure Facebook's methods are very susceptible to these types of attacks. Hopefully they still are in 6 years and we can get jobs fixing this for them lol. I also really recommend this book https://www.

umm no!...I don't know too much about this sub-field..but there are machine methods designed explicitly for adversarial data. it even has a wikipedia page! I don't know if facebook's methods implement any of this yet..but you
