I have always been bothered with the multinomial layer that picks the next token. It seems like you should be able to stick a classifier in there to detect if the probabilities align with a satisfactory answer and whether the model is unsur

Anyone making multithreaded code in c++ should be using thread sanitizer. Whether or not a specific datastruture crashes more in multithreaded code will not matter, since tsan will issue a warning on all unsafe accesses.

I suspect that the solution to unsafe languages like C/C++ will end being a small sanitizer runtime like CFI( https://dslab.epfl.ch/research/cpi/ ), that also supports some form of extended MTE, for memory safe

Any reason why you can’t use a traditional lithography machine to create these masks?

You just add the -static argument, if you want a fully static executable that can run on any linux distro: ‘g++ -o main main.cpp -static’ You can even go above and beyond with cosmopolitan libc v2, which makes c/c++ build-once run-anyw

I typically use 5sim(no affiliation) for phone number verification, although the phone numbers don’t persist so 2fa and otp doesn’t work with it, which is required for some services like Hotstar.

In theory you should be able to just put a pinhole in front of this virtual camera, to create nested virtual cameras.

They already have a light source[1] which they are collaborating with Imec to get ready for EUV, apparently within 2 years[2]. It will be interresting to see how far ASML will go to get around export restriction contracts, since there are b

Since ASML builds/integrates the machine, is there any reason why they couldn’t just pull out the EUV laser from the machine, but keep the trumpf lasers, zeiss mirrors and everything else. Then China could just copy the “shooting tin d

What prevents someone from “just” making a sort-of JIT compiler by converting Python to JavaScript at runtime and then running the generated JS through V8? Then you could reuse a lot of the optimizations in these JS engines, and the interfa

Average capacity factor is basically an irrelevant metric. What is more important is the lowest seasonal capacity factor, since seasonal power storage doesn’t make sense. For the UK this is 25% for offshore wind: https://onlineli

The Vestas V112-3MW from 2009 has a 42% capacity factor. I don’t know any modern wind turbines that has a capacity factor of 80%. https://www.thewindpower.net/turbine_en_413_vestas_v112-3000... https://en.m.wikip

I found the api incredibly hard to use as someone who hasn't used swift or macOS API's before. Because of the way some of the code runs as a separate plugin from the main app, you can't really use traditional logging as a deb
