Which is also a base design principle of Clojure. There are few persistent data structures at the core, a sequence abstraction and lots of functions to work on them.

I was searching for Withings in the comments, and this is the only occurence. I also played with various fitness and smartwatches, but the only one I really like and stick with is Withings Steel HR. Battery lasts a month, it's water re

It's not superior, because it's still DI but manual not automatic.

Well, you just create an object and set it as a field / pass it via constructor to the object that uses it. There are dependency injections frameworks, but the term dependency injection doesn't mean injecting automatically, it

Not everything has to be a lesson. Also I think it focused more on philosophical questions rather than implementation side.

This movie was done by non-technical people for non-technical people. When I started to look at this from this point of view - it became really enjoyable.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the language, I'm only saying it's used a lot. Seems that in this case there was not a lot of portable fast alternatives for system / device / high performance programming.

There are languages which have great design from the start though (like Clojure). PHP, javascript are not them. Probably that's the reason why Clojure tends to be in top of the "developer happiness" polls.

It depends on the language. The more metaprogramming is used the harder to automatically refactor. While you can do reflection/code generation even in Java, for the non-framework code almost nobody does it. That's why I feel lot s
