Have you actually lived in the time before cellphones? I have a hard time imagining anyone not having been in a situation that was made dangerous by the lack of ability to communicate with others. Muggings, beatings, rapes, killings. Acci

The US at least is prepared for this. But bringing down sats will only happen in an open war between advanced adversaries. These days many nations can bring down a few sats but not dozens or hundreds, and kessler syndrome is a bit over-dram

Some of these concerns have also been voiced by ESA. There's two main problems with it. One is taking up all the orbits and bandwidth simply by being there first (on a race to monopolize LEO), and the other is putting dual use technolo

I used to keep a couple pages of paper in my wallet and a small pen. It wasn't that much of a hassle, but modern responsive smartphones made this obsolete. At home I generally prefer taking notes on paper.

I completely agree, but people complain about anti-racism being "forced" onto them. While it's annoying when it's disingenuous and superficial as it usually is, it's still most likely better than having the establis

There are many issues that can be solved with extra time. But should we all be living 200 or 300 years, society would probably be restructured in a way to squeeze that extra time out of you. Want financial stability and a good work/lif
