Bda is more advanced version of this book. Stats rethinking is also good and one can start from scratch as it has more code and less maths.

Can it handle 1000 predictor with 1 million data points?

Yeh for sure, but it's an overkill. It's like reading quantum mechanics to understand Newtonian mechanics. If you want to get a feel of bayesian ml here is an easier book, "Regression and Other Stories" https:/

Answer is not so black and white as everything in ml has to use probability. You can ignore this unless you are among 20 top researchers who are working on frontier of ml. Bayesian probabilistic techniques does not work or are very slow for

Yes, unless you are among 20 top researchers who are working on frontier of ml. Bayesian probabilistic techniques does not work or are very slow for any practical purpose.

Agree with you. But none of this is useful for practical (applied) machine learning. I don't want to disappoint you but you can read it as machine learning porn, but otherwise don't waste time on it.

I think by complex system you mean a shitty system build by jokers which is doomed to fail. You can’t just build any bullshit and called it complex.

That is not true. Nuclear reactor are far more complex and not doomed to fail one day. So stop the bullshit.

You forget about Lithium ion battery and nuclear fusion and many more examples. All the problems can't be solved by simple solution you need to do complex things.

Workshop is not bogus the way you are commercializing is bogus. Research is incremental process and there are lot of frontier scientist currently working on. The importance given to only this workshop is bullshit

The question is fundamentally misleading. Amount of math needed depend on task you do. The first atom bomb simulated using programming and a simple html is also written using programming.

Are you not worried that this article has a lot of misinformation and these kind of workshop are very common in NIPS. In 2015 there is a "quantum machine learning" workshop https://nips.cc/Conferences/2015

This article is misguiding. “Java is better to programmer weak in c++ and in general cs.” Should be the title. Stop spamming with your bulshit.

People are using deep learning as a political tool in most of the companies. It's a political gain if someone get a chance to work on deep learning in the company. And because of this only incompetent people work on AI in industry. I a

So you are using a lower accuracy model and also a stripped down version of it. It might work for your domain but can't be generalizable. I have problem with people who make a blanket statement about running model on CPU. Heck Yeh I ca

It depends on the type of task you have, For some task inference CPU can't be real time. Example for some of those task are speech recognitions and friends, machine translation etc.
