The issue is that many of the desirable farmed fish like tuna and salmon are carnivores. Farming them still requires catching mass quantities of less-commercially-useful fish along with the issues that has. Edit: I should say part of the is

Surely the NSA can tell companies about their vulnerabilities without having to actually log in and fix them? "You have a server on 23.117.25.208:3999 which is vulnerable to CVE-2021-1120, fix it."

I've been using KiCad professionally for 2 years, and I'm pretty happy with it. I made a token effort to try some commercial offerings but at this point the transition cost seems higher than the benefit for the mid-range boards I&

My understanding is that LLVM already does software emulation of floating point for const evaluation, in order to eliminate any variation due to the host architecture. https://llvm.org/doxygen/structllvm_1_1APFloatBase.

I remember reading (in 2012 maybe) that ISA doesn't really matter and decoders don't really matter for performance. The decoder is such a small part of the power and area compared to the rest of the chip. I had a hypothesis that a

Its his style to feign ignorance, do something stupid, then explain what happened. He has a masters degree in electrical engineering and, well, does so much bad stuff that it has to be on purpose.

I'm surprised. There have been many failures in the past to outdo ARM's cores: Intel, AMD, Nvidia, Samsung, Qualcomm. Granted, some of those are ancient history or were more management failures than technical failures. It seemed t

Chips are recycled, at least the valuable ones. Go on AliExpress and you'll find lots of expensive FPGAs reballed, iPhone chips for repair, classic computer chips that are no longer made, etc.

Samsung stopped custom CPU core development because their cores weren't very good and because ARMs got better and their R&D cost is shared amongst the industry. Samsung still makes CPUs, they just use licensed ARM cores.
