I like using HAVING just to have conditions that reference expressions from the SELECT columns. e.g. rather than having to do SELECT COALESCE(extract_district(rm.district), extract_district(p.project_name), NULLIF(rm.district,

I'm really sad to see optane go. Byte-addressable, high-endurance, consistent low latency. It was the platonic ideal of solid state storage. But flash is more than good enough and it's cheap. Even pretty good quality NVMe drives a

I'm no expert, but my understanding is that: 1. Low value of exports leads to a trade imbalance and long term decline in foreign currency reserves. 2. The government prints money to spend not on productive investments to solve 1. but o

I just googled "Casablanca" intending to check my recollection that Casablanca is a city on the Moroccan coast. Of course all the results (but one) are about the film or the surprising number of local businesses named Casablanca.

Unusual platforms like DSPs usually have specific (usually proprietary) toolchains. Why can't those platforms implement extensions to support 32-bit bytes? Why must everyone else support them? In practice ~no C code is portable to mach
