Econ 102 taught me most markets are not perfectly competitive and how to measure monopolistic control over markets. That and how to measure value each country gets from trading goods based on specialization. This is conspiratorial anti scie

“Legally Binding” is determined by the courts. The process of overturning sections of the constitution start with claiming they were never there. The current admin spent months saying the 14th amendment essentially isn’t valid, so they coul

All the land around economic centers is taken by suburbs, the only direction is up. There’s nothing wrong with that, this is the natural progression of city growth. This is only becoming a problem because local communities are using their l

We want interest rates as close to zero as possible. However they’re also the only reliable tool available to stop inflation. Youre implying the country exerting financial responsibility to control inflation isn’t good. Not using interest r

The claims being made in this announcement are not demonstrated in the video. A very careful first person walk in an AI video isn’t very impressive these days…

A machine can’t do self expression for you. Replacing self expression with an LLM is just hollowing yourself out, it’ll be evident to you and everyone else when you’re not behind a screen.

This frustration seems unnecessary, unicode isnt more complicated than time and we have far more than enough processing power to handle its most absurd manifestations. We just need good libraries, which is a lot less work than inventing yet

The overhead of the virtual dom is less than modifying the actual dom unless you’re using little to no javascript. If your company’s front end that happens to have react is slow, I’m willing to bet removing react will make it even slower.

Assuming you’re making a “web app” and not some simple SSR page, you will have better performance using React over Jquery or vanilla JS. The year is 2024, there are lots of websites where users expect highly interactive pages. Performance i
