It seems to me that agile approaches are a response to the phenomena of the spec often being wrong. If the spec is wrong and going to need substantial revision, iteration is better than planning. If the spec is not wrong, careful planning

This dismissive attitude really pisses me off. Babysitters don't have to get the kids to DO anything. Saying these are the same is like saying a manager in a business is only supposed to check if employees showed up and clocked in. Sur

But that's not caused by SCARCITY. Scarcity means there isn't enough food. That's not the problem we have. There is enough food to feed everyone. It's just owned by the wrong people.

For what it's worth, Cormac McCarthy hasn't read much fiction in a long time (so he says), but his books are some of the best in the second half of the 20th century.

Even the US government doesn't claim that US law does not apply outside the border; that is simply false. Case in point: having sex with a child outside the US is still a crime you can be prosecuted for under US law when you return.
