I find the history of the N64 interesting but, I guess, it is because it is part of my teen years. I was sooooo onboard with the N64 when first announced (or project reality at it was named at the time) and early screens. Dont get me wrong

"Because lots of people who build websites only test them in Chrome.." Well I am not one of those people. Back in the late '00s I was testing in IE6, 7 and maybe 8 as well as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Opera. I remember, ba

"I stuck with FF until around 2016 or so before being compelled to switch. The performance was just very clearly worse..." This is a fair point. Personally, I don't recall seeing a big difference between the two. Maybe there

My point is not just about the difference between Windows and Mac.. but the software I need to use to get things done. I use specific software to write programs.. to code in. Some are not available on Mac so I have to use whatever is "

I have been a happy Firefox user for 15 years... maybe more. I have seen people use and complain Internet Explorer in my younger days, from version 6 to 7, etc. Even though I mention Firefox to them, they stay with IE. What amazes me is how

In most cases, I write as a library. It makes life sooooooo much easier and can be tested at different levels with unit tests. I will always remember a relatively large GUI application... one big EXE project. All content was hard coded insi

Not suggesting your comment is not without merit. I can understand going from Photoshop to Gimp can be frustrating but I think we can pick many examples that follows the same pattern. I guess it is more about what you are use to than anythi

Think we had Encarta '95 or abouts. I think it was a good tool. Had to uninstall it a number of times when hard drive space was low. I remember using it for homework like History. I was luckly it provided a sentence or two. Not enough

Agreed. Admittedly, I cannot comment on replication options for Sqlite. I have not bothered to even look into this. To me, it already goes beyond the purpose of what makes Sqlite great --- to be a powerful sql in one file. Great for program

There could/can be cases to use SQLite over SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, etc. It really comes down to reasoning with the problem. For me personally, I have only used SQLite for 2 scenarios. 1) When developing. SQLite is a simple method

I have tried to keep up with Dlang, and even wrote some projects on my home server in the last number of years. I do like Dlang and see potential behind it. However, the problem I have with it is lack of LTS (long term support) releases. DU
