I find this odd; surely that shouldn't happen.

To be fair, neither is AlphaGo :) But I admit that the pun is hard to resist.

That's upsetting. I'll try not to drop my phone while an update is in progress in that case.

Me too, though the screen did get a small crack once. If there was a 1% chance of file system corruption each time I dropped my phone, it would have happened to me by now, I think. And usually when I drop my phone, the battery comes out.

It's not the "beat as one" I object to, it's the "quantum entanglement".

> I would love to know why Sorry for late response. The entire blurb on Amazon gives off a mildly pseudo-science vibe, but it is mild enough that I was willing to forgive it. But this I could not overlook: "[...] how the hearts of

Okay, fine. Then what makes you say that children have more than adults?

The same way you police it in a dictatorship, or any other form of government. Just do what China does for its one child policy, except that it would be a zero child policy. I doubt this is a good idea though.

I am kind of doubtful about this Qi business. I followed the amazon link you gave and it made it even more doubtful. Nevertheless, I gave you an upvote, because I had no idea fingertips could ever regrow; that's really cool! I'm

That is sufficiently interesting to make me wish I could upvote it twice. But. What I really want to hear about is the opposite experiment. Take something that has ARF, and see what happens if you take it out.

That sounds horrifying (to me). I'm not a Rust user. I've never written a line of Rust code in my life. So my opinion is not worth much. And I'm exaggerating a bit. But still. I don't think I can explain my real reas

Read-only is too strict. Can't reverse the array, or sort it.

As far as I know, there are people that have been advocating something very similar to this. It's not quite true that these people are being ignored completely, but on the other hand, this hasn't been done. I've never heard

I always wondered why some people add /s to their post sometimes. It's "end sarcasm", isn't it?

No, not really. My favorite example is: try to implement the equivalent of the LaTeX command \tableofcontents using just HTML and CSS. On the other hand, that's not a fair comparison: TeX is Turing-complete, and HTML+CSS is not. We

I doubt it. The library seems very happy to exploit whatever C++ features are available, especially templates, to the point where I wonder how easy it would be to use from a language where templates are even slightly different compared to

That is seriously neat. But! The user has to know this. Surely, if you're trying to copy a 6GB file, it's better to take a lesson from wget and print a progress indicator than force the user to (1) read the man page, and (2) ke

sort is a bad example: to support sorting in-place, it has to know the file name. Pity the user who typed sort < bigfile > bigfile for said user just lost a file.
