I don't, when I get tired, I stop. Weeks or months later, I decide to have another go, and often find that that problem I was stuck on is actually easily solvable, so I get another burst of motivation for a while.

There's a beautiful poem by Giovanni Pascoli, "Aléxandros" in which Alexander the Great gets to the Indus river with his army after having conquered half of Asia; he knows it's the end of his conquest and thinks - it was

Artificial neural networks have been called like that since the 1940s. So that's just how they're called. I assure you that people in the field know the difference very well.

I believe a customs union and common market are not nothing. The article is a bit too optimistic in speaking already of a federation. The EU shows that a political union is difficult, but simultaneously shows that a union of currencies, cu

I remember a high school friend once telling a non-joke to us. We did find it hilariously funny at the time. I did not manage to make anyone laugh with it since. She was very good at it, but as you say the audience matters.

I agree for me it really is a matter of identity. Unlike you, I struggle with the idea that I might be seen, but more importantly, that I might see myself as a failed academic. But I'm very slowly accepting that I may be happier buil

I think what OP meant is that if you have an organisation with 100 votes or 100 organisations with 1 vote there's no difference in linear, but there's a huge difference in quadratic.

When I first visited the US I was pretty appalled. Silicon Valley towns are huge stretches of residential areas where you can't even get a coffee on foot, you might be ok by cycling if they're not too large. In inland non-ancient
