The concept of a business is hundreds of years old and history has seen most types of business financing, both benevolent and scammy. As a result, there's a massive amount of regulations around it. No matter if intentions of the business ow

Thanks. Came here to say this. For a consumer web service, the outcome may or may not be totally different.

I find it strange that they seem to rule out asteroid impacts as a threat just because it is unlikely to happen within this century. They are unlikely to happen in any century but still do happen from time to time on a universe-scale timeli

The deep irony is that the reason is that Google doesn't want themselves to become ungoogleable. Which is the word they pressured the Swedish language council to remove from the standard dictionary. But in Swedish ofc.

It can't be done since it would bring the narrative of "Facebook is selling user's data" too close to reality. With the addition of occasional leaks of who is buying into their platform, it would provide media with a constant stream of savo

A quantified proof might not be needed, but at least the slightest indication to if he has seen this process work in the real world would have made the post much more useful.

Memoto is a service where the photos from a lifelogging camera are organized and made searchable in an app in your smartphone. The cloud, no matter if you embrace that term or not, is inescapably needed as part of our tech chain. I think yo

You think that starting with an idea leads to fragility and that there is an off chance that you succeed. You are probably right. You state an alternative process which you say is leads to higher success rate. Great, but where is the proof?

Hi, Memoto founder here. You can in fact double-tap the camera to have it take a photo at once. It will also be bookmarked for easy retrieval. If you want a viewfinder as well, the Memoto app allows you to take photos the normal way which e

It takes a few frames for the camera to switch off. Even flat on your back it would be a one in a million chance that your camera ended up being perfectly still with the front axis aligned with the gravity vector for any prolonged period of

Memoto founder here, it's because the GPS radio data is converted to lat/long in the cloud. Before that it's just a radio sample. Normal GPS chips that compute the lat/long on the fly drains the battery very quickly since they need to wait
